Join The Foreclosure Crisis Discussion

I wanted to bring to your attention an event that I hosted this past Saturday and, looking ahead, I want to invite you to join the conversation. Before I made my way to the Green Valley Ranch for the Nevada Republican Party convention, I hosted the first in a three part series of Round Table Discussions on the housing and foreclosed home crisis which, as we all know, is devastating our community. Many of you have reached out to your representatives, expressing your frustrations, your difficulty cutting through the red tape, or your common sense solutions only to run into a wall of silence or a deaf ear.  We can no longer tolerate the status quo: Nevadans must demand better and be included in the discussion.
 
My event was the beginning of a listening and learning tour. My goal is to bring ordinary Nevadans together in order to hear about what’s working to fix this problem and what we can do better moving forward. I want to help bring these problems to light: to end the rhetoric and start talking reality. Stepping out of the event on Saturday, it is crystal clear that our foreclosure crisis goes hand in hand with our unemployment numbers. The policies pushed by this Administration, and championed by Dina Titus, are clearly not working to create jobs or save homes; send me a message HERE if their programs have failed to work for you or someone you know. 

Nevada needs sustainable jobs, and it is imperative that our representatives work to foster a pro-job growth environment for our small businesses. We must empower our private sector to create jobs, put money back in individuals' pockets, and keep them in their homes.
 
I promise you, this conversation did not end on Saturday. Moving forward, I plan to meet with lenders, families going through foreclosure, and concerned members of the community in order to talk about honest solutions to this dilemma. This is too big of an issue, affecting too many of our friends and families, to not talk about it every day.
